Jerrol’s, located in Ellensburg Washington, is a 4th generation family owned and operated department store started in 1947. We are proud to have served the residents, businesses and visitors of central Washington for almost 80 years.
How We Got Our Name?
The name Jerrol’s came from our founders’ (Don and Irene Williams) sons’ names. Three letters from Jerry, and three from Rolf, with an apostrophe s for ownership.

In 1947 through the mid-sixties we were known as Jerrol’s Handy Stop/Shop. There is some confusion on the stop/shop bit and we have advertisements and such both ways.
In the late sixties the handy stop/shop was dropped. Around 1985 we added the Book & Supply Co. to reflect our true product selection. Most of our customers prefer to think of us as just Jerrol’s which is perhaps a more intimate name and just fine by us.

“Rolf has worked at Jerrol’s since 1979. He has done EVERYTHING, but now focuses on leadership, sales & marketing. His favorite childhood book is “Old Yeller.” He enjoys his dog, Thor. He loves back country skiing and motorcycling in his spare time.

“Michelle has worked at Jerrol’s since 1987. She started in frontline and ordering textbooks, now she is our toy/ gift buyer and bookkeeper. Her favorite childhood book is “Danny the Champion of the World.” She enjoys her dog, Thor. She loves antique/ thrift shopping and doing genealogies in her spare time.

“Taylor has worked at Jerrol’s since 2019. He works frontline and is a delivery driver. His favorite childhood book is “Lord Of the Rings.” He has two dogs, Minka and Maggie. He likes going on adventures with his girlfriend Meagan and the dogs, playing softball and cooking in his spare time.

“Annie has worked at Jerrol’s since 2025. She is our bookkeeper. Her favorite childhood books are the Magic Tree House Series. She has one dog named Obi. She likes taking walks with her girls, golfing with her husband and gardening in her spare time.

“Crystal has worked at Jerrol’s since 2014. She started in Frontline, then Receiving and Merchandising, and now is also the Book Buyer. Her favorite childhood book is “Fox in Sox.” She has 8 cats and also a husband, named Kane. She likes to curl up with a book and cat in her lap, work on jigsaw puzzles, and go out and enjoy nature in her spare time.

“Jessica has worked at Jerrol’s since 2000. She started in frontline, now she is the buyer for arts, crafts, clothing, and office supplies as well as running the Help Desk. Her favorite childhood book is “Mother Goose.” She enjoys all 4 of her dogs (Chloe, Rudy, Reddie & Macy) as well as all her chickens and pigs. She loves camping, fishing, hiking, RZR rides and spending time with her husband, Frank, and 2 sons in her spare time.

She loves hiking, hanging out with her 2 kids, camping and thrifting for things she doesn’t need in her spare time.

“Olivia has worked at Jerrol’s since 2018. She is one of our delivery drivers. Her favorite childhood book is “Stellaluna”. She has two dogs, Moose and Prince, as well as 2 cats and 2 horses. She likes hiking, beading and hanging out with her daughter in her spare time.
