Easter Traditions

Easter Traditions

At our house Easter has always been about the family gathering at my parents house. When I was a kid this meant grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins from the “coast”, ok that really means the Seattle area, coming to our house for a giant meal, multiple Easter baskets for the kids and a huge Easter egg hunt. More often then not in a wind storm….

These days we still gather at Mom’s house, but now I’m the grandparent. There will be Easter baskets and egg hunts for the littles, but we also do a so called “adult” hunt for the not so littles. I didn’t even know that was a thing!

Any long time read of this publication will know that family traditions are very important to us. These traditions whether old or new are what bind us together and are what life is all about. Somethings are timeless and never go out of style like dying Easter eggs, putting together baskets for the little ones and looking at old pictures. I hope you can take some time during the holiday to enjoy your  family, your traditions, and appreciate the simple things in life!  - Rolf T. Williams.
